This pivotal role offers the chance to work in a challenging yet fulfilling setting where your expertise directly impacts patient recovery and wellbeing.Key Responsibilities include providing expert critical care within an 8-bed ICU unit, managing patient acuity with ratios of 2:1 or 3:1, and supporting patients requiring complex treatments. As an ICU Nurse, you will float to specialized departments such as Skilled Nursing, OB (post-partum), and Emergency Department as needed, ensuring flexibility and diverse clinical experience.Required Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical or ICU experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications (can be obtained through SWMC within 6 months of hire)
• Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and communication skills
• Ability to adapt to high-pressure situations and multitask effectively

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience floating to multiple departments such as Emergency or Post-Partum care
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of 2 years of critical care or medical-surgical hospital experience
• BSN degree preferred but not mandatory, with salary adjustments accordingly

Other Requirements:

• Must be available to work every other weekend and holiday shifts
• Jewelry must be kept to a minimum; visible face and body piercings (outside of traditional earrings and small nose studs) are not permitted during duty hours
• Willingness to float to alternate units such as Skilled Nursing, OB, and Emergency Department as required
• Valid RN license in good standing, with the ability to obtain required certifications within 6 months of hire
