Interim AR Billing Specialist

Our client, a growing construction and services organization in the Addison area, is looking to add an AR Billing Specialist Contractor to support the team during a high-volume operational period and upcoming ERP transition. This is a hands-on role focused on construction billing, progress billing, customer invoicing, and day-to-day billing operations in a fast-paced environment. The team needs someone who can jump in quickly, coordinate with project managers, customers, and operations teams, take ownership of billing workflows, and help keep projects and cash flow moving efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage construction billing processes including preparation, submission, tracking, and follow-up of customer billings tied to project-based work and contract milestones
• Support progress billing and customer invoicing activities within a construction environment
• Coordinate with project managers, operations teams, customers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and timely billing
• Resolve billing discrepancies and support payment application activities
• Assist the accounting and operations teams during ERP transition and go-live activities when needed
• Maintain billing documentation and support process improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Experience in construction billing, project billing, contract billing, or customer invoicing environments
• Experience supporting progress billing and milestone-based invoicing
• Experience working in a general contractor, subcontractor, or construction-related environment preferred
• Service and resale billing experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
