We pride ourselves on recognizing each individual's potential and investing in their future-and we're looking for a driven, people-oriented Interior Design Assistant who thrives on supporting a team and helping projects come to life.
Position Summary
In this hybrid full-time support role, the Interior Design Assistant will work part-time supporting our soft goods specialist and part-time supporting our interior design staff. The Interior Design Assistant will play a key role in maintaining organization across projects, preparing client-facing materials, and supporting designers in the field. This position is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys working with people, and wants to grow into a design role over time.
Responsibilities
Soft Goods Support (part-time)
- Support window treatment projects by researching fabrics, hardware, trims, and related materials
- Attend and assist with installations as needed
- Help prepare and organize memos, samples, and project materials
- Maintain a polished, accurate, and highly organized Design Library (fabric books, vendor binders, memos, and showroom resources)
Design Team Support (part-time)
- Accompany designers on client house calls to assist with surveys, measurements, site notes, and occasional deliveries
- Support presentation planning and client-ready materials (sample decks, selections, boards, and supporting documentation)
- Gather, organize, label, and track samples and memos including fabric swatches, rug samples, and other project materials
- Communicate with vendors and follow up on purchase orders and project status updates
- Run project-related errands and provide day-to-day support that keeps projects moving forward
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the showroom experience and design operations
Ideal Candidate
- Warm, poised, and professional-comfortable in a client-facing environment
- Highly organized with strong accuracy and follow-through
- Interested in learning and growing into a future Interior Design Sales role
- Familiarity with window treatments/soft goods is a strong plus
- Preferred skills: soft goods experience and/or sales experience
Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; some college coursework preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required
- Proficiency in Photoshop and/or renderings software is required
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, and listening)
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Professional, collaborative, and team-oriented work style
- Interior design and/or showroom experience required
- Soft goods experience and/or sales experience preferred
Schedule & Location
- Full-time, on-site: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Location:Malvern, PA
