Job Description

We are a family-owned company serving customers for over 90 years in Washington, Alaska, Montana and North Dakota. The opportunity available is for a Interior Office Designer located at our Tukwila, Washington office. Additional duties include but are not limited to:

Primary responsibilities:

Visit branch locations to analyze design needs and develop recommendations that ensure design specifications are aligned with Dealer and CAT requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders (CEO, Exec Team, Branch Managers, vendors, architects, and contractors) and obtain approval.
May be responsible for creating, sketching initial design sketches, color themes and ideas based on client requirements and space availability.
Determine costs for different projects.
Source materials and products for the designs.
Oversee installation of the final design.
Attend meetings to understand the design needs and preferences regarding interior styles and colors
Coordinate with Facilities Manager on hiring contractors and vendors to implement design ideas, such as Carpenters, Painters, Plumbers, Electricians, and other vendors.
May oversee the buying process of all raw materials and items required to complete the project.
Arrange site visits, ensure key stakeholders are involved in the project and/or kept informed.
Ensure project completion within the allocated budget and timeline.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in interior design or equivalent with coursework in interior design, such as computer-aided design (CAD) and drawing and 5 years’ experience.
Certification in the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ); or other certifications related to interior design is a plus.
Strong attention to detail; Project management skills and experience is preferred.
Travel to branch locations – 20%
