Intern - Safety

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Include the following. Other duties will be assigned as deemed necessary by operations & staff management.

• Provide administrative support for the safety and health program.
• Assist with conducting risk assessments and exposure measurements
• Participate in safety committee activities
• Provide assistance with internal safety audits and support for safety inspections.
• In conjunction with safety staff, perform trend analysis and evaluate historical data.
• With supervisory oversight, develop and deliver safety training,

Skills and Abilities

• MS Office computer skills
• Verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work in a safe manner
• Ability to interpret and understand technical documents
• Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Ability to travel regionally
• Valid PA drivers' license and reliable transportation

Education and Experience

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in a safety, health, or industrial hygiene field of study
• Previous experience as an intern is a plus
