JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Functions
- Assist in gathering customer requirements for the design of rail braking systems
- Assist in preparing technical proposals including clause-by-clause comments to customer spec
- Prepare systems documentation including requirement specs, schematics, etc.
- Define and perform commissioning tests for rail vehicle braking systems
- Perform functional and software validation testing
- Assist senior engineers and field service engineering staff
Skills and Competencies
- Requirements Analysis and Problem Solving
- Fundamental Engineering Understanding: Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Systems
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
- Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Education
Enrolled into Bachelors or Masters Mechanical, Electrical, or Business Degrees.
Note: The anticipated wage scale for candidates who will work in Watertown, New York or remote is $16.00 to $25.00/per hour. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will depend on their class year/status.
