About Tolmar Engineering

Tolmar Engineering ensures that pharmaceutical manufacturing facility processes are carried out in the safest, most time-efficient, and cost-effective way possible. Our equipment engineers achieve this by designing, planning, coordinating, reviewing, and modifying systems, and equipment, and writing, documenting, and implementing new procedures, requirements, and qualification documents to support activities. The Equipment Engineering team is responsible for design and procurement of all new manufacturing equipment and support of existing equipment operations and maintenance at all Tolmar facilities in Northern Colorado.

Proposed Work Description

Described below is a sampling of the kinds of work we expect this position to entail:

  • Assist Tolmar Equipment Engineers with new equipment design and procurement projects
  • Assist Tolmar Equipment Engineers with support of equipment operation issues. Troubleshooting, data mining and review, root cause analysis, etc.
  • Assist Tolmar Equipment Engineers with development and support of equipment maintenance programs. Identifying required maintenance, spare parts etc.
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment engineering design, coordination, and documentation
  • Equipment documentation, commissioning, and qualification
  • Equipment Start up, investigation, field work and research
  • Assist Equipment Engineering team with development and implementation of engineering standards

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • An interest in the pharmaceutical industry and pharmaceutical engineering design, coordination and documentation;
  • Ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice or acceptance criteria.
  • Ability to interact collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Technical writing and documentation review skills.
  • Ability to work independently when needed.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks demonstrating strong organization and time management skills; to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient computer skills with demonstrated experience in working with Microsoft Suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook).
  • Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) is a plus.

Education & Experience

  • Pursuing degree in Engineering discipline or related field.
  • Interest in regulated industry including pharmaceutical, health care, medical device, production or manufacturing.
  • Technical job history a plus.

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed primarily in office, laboratory, manufacturing and construction sites.
  • Comfortable working on ladders, lifts and at heights as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base rate is $19.00 per hour
  • Benefits include medical insurance and 401k participation
