Wilsonart in Klamath Falls currently has an opening for a Continuous Improvement Intern!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process Improvement: Analyze current processes and identify opportunities for improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Data Collection & Analysis: Collect and interpret operational data (e.g., cycle times, downtime, inventory levels) to support decision-making.
- Workflow Optimization: Assist in designing and implementing changes to workflows, layouts, or production schedules to enhance efficiency.
- Time Studies & Simulations: Conduct time-motion studies, create process maps, or use simulation software to model and optimize systems.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality, logistics, and engineering teams to support initiatives and troubleshoot operational issues.
- Report Writing & Presentations: Summarize findings, create reports or presentations, and present recommendations to supervisors or teams.
EDUCATION:
Currently pursuing a degree. Preferably in Engineering or related field.
EXPERIENCE:
1+ years
May include other internships, or experience earned at the college level.
