Job Description:
Intern, Corporate + Consumer
As an Intern straddling Corporate and Brand at Zeno Group, you will gain hands-on experience supporting integrated programs for clients that live at the intersection of brand storytelling and corporate reputation. You will support the team in areas like: research, media relations, content creation, reporting and day-to-day account support.
About the Role:
Conduct research to aid in the strategy development process for current clients and new business pitches.
Assist with compiling client reports, including tracking organic and secured media placements.
Create and distribute mailers, press kits, and briefing materials.
Draft media materials, including but not limited to press releases, fact sheets, briefing sheets, and pitches.
Support media relations efforts, including media list development and monitoring outreach across consumer and corporate verticals.
Identify key cultural, consumer, and business trends to help teams stay on top of timely and relevant news.
Participate in brainstorming sessions and integrated program ideation.
Support content development for client-owned channels, including social media, when applicable.
Monitor client and competitor media coverage and draft coverage recaps for internal teams.
Manage day-to-day administrative activities for 1-3 accounts.
Assist with event logistics and provide on-site support when needed.
Work closely with account team members from Assistant Account Executives through Vice Presidents to develop and deliver key client deliverables, while learning the fundamentals of clients' businesses and industries.
About You:
Passion for public relations and communications, with interest in both consumer brands and corporate reputation.
Strong desire to learn, contribute and gain hands-on agency experience.
Basic understanding of social media platforms and media landscape.
Familiarity with public relations, marketing or communications through coursework, internships or personal experience.
Collaborative spirit; results-driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work against deadlines.
Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
MS Office proficiency is a must.
Must be proactive and able to operate effectively both independently and within a team.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Pay Rate: $18/hour USD
An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
