Internal Auditor - FT

• Plan and conduct operational, financial, compliance, and internal control audits throughout MotorCity Casino Hotel.
• Thoroughly document all work performed, including planning, observations, and discussions.
• Prepare clear, well-organized audit reports summarizing findings, risks, and recommendations.
• Present audit findings and recommendations to management in a constructive manner.
• Monitor corrective action plans and follow-up reviews to verify implementation of agreed-upon improvements.
• Demonstrate professional judgment in drawing conclusions based on work performed.
• Consult with department directors, managers, supervisors, and front-line associates on policies/procedures, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze operational processes to identify inefficiencies, control weaknesses, fraud risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding financial, operational, employee, and customer information.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• One to three years of audit-related experience.
• One or more of the following certifications preferred: CPA, CIA, or CFE.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills required to plan and execute detailed audits with minimal supervision.
• Ability to interact with MotorCity staff at all levels.
• Flexibility to perform audit observations at unusual hours, such as during "grave" shift.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
