As the Internal Communications Co-opyou will report to the Internal Communications Manager and collaborate with colleagues across the Communications team and Marketing department to support external initiatives.
This is a great opportunityto learn how aglobal internal communicationsteam functions and how to use different communication channels and tactics in a professional business environment through engagement with Goodwin’s clients, colleagues and other target audiences.
What you’ll do:
Work with the Communications team to support the firm’s global internal communications program
Track projects by keeping the team’s document organized with detailed notes, ensuring we meet deadlines
Draft content for the department as needed such as meeting agendas, follow up notes, and first drafts of materials
Help devise internal communications content strategies for various departments
Engage and collaborate with global legal and business professionals across the firm to repurpose bespoke materials into engaging content
Partner with the team to develop assets for internal platforms such as the iNet, including images, graphics and copy
Monitor internal news stories and content
Keep on top of employee communications trends and apply the learnings to your role
Assist with research and analysis of internal communications practices and campaigns
Who you are:
You should be interested in developing an understanding of best practice and methods of communicating with various stakeholders in a professional setting
You are interested in gaining experience in both short- and long-term project management and internal operations
Excited about using survey data to achieve strategic aims and inform communication practices
Enjoy creative thinking and not shy about sharing your ideas with others
You are comfortable in a collaborative work environment
Proactive and ready to embrace new projects and tasks
You enjoy writing concise, impactful communications for a range of audiences
Organized and familiar with methods for addressing multiple different tasks over the course of a day
Comfortable communicating to a diverse range of people and personalities
Good analytical and interpretation skills
