The International Trade Coordinator will be responsible for utilizing international trade compliance processes and procedures and cost savings strategies for the benefit of all of America Fujikura Ltd. This is accomplished by working with International Trade Management and seeking cooperation from compliance liaisons and other personnel involved with international trade within the Business Units.

Responsibilities

  • Follows daily import and export compliance processes and procedures
  • Communicates with compliance liaisons and other personnel involved in international trade throughout the organization
  • Coordinates with service providers to ensure compliant clearance and timely delivery of import shipments through the import supply chain
  • Identifies and maintains appropriate Import and Export Harmonized Schedule codes and Export Classification Control Numbers ("ECCNs") for all materials, equipment, and services
  • Reviews international sales order and purchase order reports and resolve missing compliance data
  • Submits Electronic Export Information ("EEI") for export shipment via ACE system
  • Determines country of origin for products (make and buy) and records in trade system
  • Performs Free Trade Agreement ("FTA") qualification and certification analysis
  • Procure the necessary documentation for import and export shipments to support recordkeeping requirements including those associated with the duty drawback program
  • Maintains the international trade compliance intranet site
  • Adheres to and promotes the environmental, health & safety policies of AFL.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • International Trade or Business degree preferred

  • 0 - 2 years of Importing/Exporting working experience

  • Proficient user of MS Office applications

  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus

  • Authorized to work in the US

Working Conditions

  • Normal office environment. Some travel may be required up to 10% including international travel.
  • Ability to work Pacific Time Hours
  • Salary Range for this role is $55,00- $80,000 per year based on experience
