- MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Active New York State medical license (required).
- Board Certified or Board Eligible.
- Residents and fellows are welcome to apply.
- Proficiency in geriatric medicine, chronic disease management, and electronic health records.
- Excellent bedside manner, strong communication, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with elderly patients and their families.
- Consult with patients to understand their symptoms and health concerns.
- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses (bacterial and viral infections) and chronic conditions such as hypertension, heart disease, and diabetes.
- Prescribe or administer medication, therapy, and other specialized care to treat or prevent illness.
- Explain procedures and discuss test results and prescribed treatments with patients.
- Monitor patients' conditions and progress, and re-evaluate treatments as necessary.
- Provide health and wellness advice, including diet, physical activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Immunize patients against preventable diseases.
- Maintain detailed notes of patient appointments, including tests, treatments, and results.
- Refer patients to other medical specialists when necessary.
- Provide support and advice to patients receiving long-term care.
- Prepare official health documents or records as needed.
- Contribute to research on new treatments and methods to prevent or control illness.
