About the Opportunity / A Day in the Life

This is a balanced interventional pain role combining clinic-based patient care with consistent procedural volume. Your week will include evaluating and managing a diverse pain population in the clinic while also maintaining dedicated time in the ASC for injections, minimally invasive procedures, and implants.

You’ll have the support of a nurse practitioner who helps manage follow-ups, routine visits, and patient flow, allowing you to focus on higher-acuity cases and procedures. The practice is designed to optimize both efficiency and physician autonomy, giving you control over your schedule and case mix.

Procedural days are structured and predictable, with strong support staff and streamlined workflows in the ASC. The model supports physicians who want to build a robust interventional practice while maintaining continuity of care with their patients.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Strong balance of clinic and procedural time with built-in ASC access
  • High earning potential with transparent, production-based bonus structure
  • Dedicated NP support to improve efficiency and reduce administrative burden
  • Flexible structure that allows you to shape your patient panel and procedural mix
  • Opportunity to scale quickly with strong referral patterns in the Phoenix market
  • Additional financial incentives available for physicians bringing an existing practice or patient base

What We’re Looking For

  • Interventional pain physician who enjoys both clinic and procedural work
  • Comfortable performing a range of spine and pain procedures
  • Efficient, patient-focused, and team-oriented
  • Interested in building or growing a long-term practice
  • Values autonomy while working within a collaborative environment

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic pain conditions
  • Perform interventional pain procedures in an ASC setting
  • Develop individualized treatment plans, including procedural and non-procedural options
  • Collaborate with NP and clinical staff to manage patient flow and follow-ups
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
  • Educate patients on treatment options, risks, and expected outcomes
  • Participate in care coordination with referring providers
  • Ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory standards
  • Optimize procedural scheduling and efficiency in the ASC
  • Contribute to practice growth through high-quality patient care

Required Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pain Management, Anesthesiology, PM&R, or related field
  • Completion of an accredited pain fellowship
  • Active or eligible for Arizona medical licensure

Preferred Background

  • Experience in interventional pain procedures, including spine interventions and implants
  • Prior experience working in an ASC setting
  • Track record of building or maintaining a patient panel
  • Interest in practice growth and long-term stability

This Role Is Likely a Fit If You…

  • Want a true mix of clinic and procedural work
  • Prefer a predictable schedule with dedicated ASC time
  • Value support from an NP and efficient clinical workflows
  • Are motivated by production-based upside in addition to a strong base
  • Want flexibility to grow your own practice style within a supportive structure

This Role May Not Be a Fit If You…

  • Prefer a purely procedural or purely clinic-based role
  • Are not comfortable working in both clinic and ASC settings
  • Prefer a highly structured or hospital-employed environment with limited autonomy
  • Are not interested in participating in practice growth or production-based compensation
  • Require a heavy inpatient or hospital-based pain model
