Interventional Radiology Physician

Full-Time Contract | Hospital-Based | On‑Call Rotation

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Doctorate degree (MD or DO)
1+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
- Cardiology – Interventional
- Radiology
ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Board Certified
ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
- American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)

OVERVIEW

This contract opportunity offers a consistent weekday schedule with shared on‑call responsibilities, providing comprehensive Interventional Radiology services in a hospital setting. Candidates will collaborate closely with medical staff to deliver high‑quality patient care and will have the meaningful opportunity to serve Veterans in a respected healthcare environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide on‑site clinical care and on‑call consultation for Interventional Radiology proceduresPerform a wide range of procedures, including:

Angiography
Balloon angioplasty
Stent placement
Biliary interventions
CT‑guided and ultrasound‑guided biopsies
Central line placement
Chemoembolization
Dialysis access interventions
Drain and tube placements/exchanges
Embolization
IVC filter placement
Lumbar puncture
Myelograms
Paracentesis
Radiologically inserted gastrostomy
Thoracentesis
Vertebroplasty
Joint injectionsProvide pre‑procedure planning, consultation with referring physicians, and post‑procedure evaluation and follow‑upManage complications and ensure continuity of careParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and required clinical/administrative activitiesMaintain clinical privileges and ensure credentialing compliance

SCHEDULE & SHIFT DETAILS

Full‑time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM Shared on‑call coverage:

Weekdays: 4:30 PM–12:00 AM
Weekends & holidays: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM
