Job Description
Need either a CVT Scrub Technologist or an Interventional Radiology Technologist
Shift 7:30 am to 6:00 pm (10 hrs.) or 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (8 hrs.) and can be on-call.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:A. CORE VALUES AND CUSTOMER SERVICE1. Embraces the value of Service, Excellence, Knowledge, Stability and Community.2. Demonstrates awareness of and sensitivity for patient’s rights in all interfaces withpatients.B. ADHERES TO POLICIES AND PROCEDURES1. Demonstrates competence in the ALARA safety principle at all times.2. Complies with organization-wide and department specific policies and procedures,including working of policies, reference to policies as needed.3. Complies with patient care requirements of all regulatory agencies including workingknowledge of policies, reference to and compliance to policies.4. Actively creates an environment of safe delivery of patient care and functions with aconstant awareness of safety issues. Immediately corrects and reports any unsafeconditions found.5. Practices aseptic technique, isolation and infection control procedures.6. Knowledge of Radiation Safety, Material Safety Data Sheet and Fire/Safety policies andprocedures. Able to identify where information manuals are located.7. Uses 2 patient identifiers prior to beginning an exam.8. All matters are handled in a confidential manner per HIPAA policies and California Lawregulations.C. AREAS OF EMPHASIS1. Administers oral contrast as needed per exam.2. Instructs and prepares patients for radiographic/fluoroscopic examinations and assistsRadiologist during procedures.3. Demonstrates competence and proficiency in operation if all x-ray equipment, CR andDR systems.4. Reports equipment malfunctions to manager or lead.5. Completes all assigned procedures in a timely manner and uses time between proceduresto department advantage-assisting others, clerical duties, stocking, transporting, etc.6. Employee understands his/her role on maintaining medication security to authorizedpersonnel only.7. Demonstrates competency in providing health care services in own job category to allage groups.8. Demonstrates competency in interpersonal relationships to all age groups.D. DOCUMENTATION/INFORMATION MANAGEMENT1. Demonstrates competency in the use of Hospital information System (HIS), RadiologyInformation System (RIS) and PACS.2. Participates in hospital performance improvement activities (BPI projects, task forces,etc.) when warranted.3. Demonstrate confidentiality using own password and all patient care modules.4. Answers telephone inquiries of a technical nature from physicians or hospital personnelin other areas of the hospital while maintaining good phone etiquette.E. DEVELOPMENT1. Keeps work area stocked with office and medical supplies efficiently and reorderthrough appropriate personnel when necessary.2. Recognizes and performs duties which need to be performed although not directlyassigned.

Admin- 1 Imaging assistant
Patients per day: 6-10 on LT 2nd floor and 10 cases per day in 1st floor
Type of equipment: Philips Clarity bi-plane unit and Icono Siemens unit
EMR (Epic, Cerner, etc): Merge Hemodynamic system
Skill Set:
Must Haves:
Non-negotiables each candidate must have to be considered. Include required certifications.
· Certifications: BLS
· ARRT
· (Flouro and CRT) for IR Technologist
· California State license
