The Inventory Analyst at Fox Factory plays a critical, high-impact role in driving inventory accuracy, operational discipline, and profitable growth across a fast-paced, multi-site manufacturing environment. This role owns inventory visibility end-to-end—leading the cleanup and prevention of aged and End-of-Life inventory, partnering closely with Product Development, NPI, Supply Chain, and suppliers, and ensuring materials flow efficiently from launch through lifecycle management. As a trusted ERP and data expert, the Inventory Analyst turns complex data into actionable insights, enforces best-in-class inventory controls, and drives continuous improvement through structured processes, SOPs, and cross-functional project leadership.

This position is both analytical and hands-on, combining deep system knowledge with time on production floors and warehouses to identify risks, solve problems, and keep inventory current. The Inventory Analyst delivers clear, data-driven reporting to executive leadership each month, proactively escalating risks and recommending solutions that protect margin, improve cash flow, and support scalable growth. For candidates who thrive at the intersection of data, operations, and execution, this is a unique opportunity to make a visible, measurable impact within Fox Factory’s performance-driven culture.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Identifies strategic opportunities, such as inventory reduction or supply chain inefficiencies, and determines the required time and resources required to take advantage of these opportunities.
  • Creates and updates supply and demand forecasts, including an analysis of production, inventory and distribution capabilities.
  • Generates and maintains operating schedules to meet forecasted needs.
  • Develops and sustains supply chain reporting tools that monitor cost changes, growth, new products, contracts and performance against the forecast.
  • Adjusts data to minimize discrepancies and improve data integrity.
  • Generates various reports as needed.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, suppliers and customers to define, design and implement supply chain enhancements and solutions that optimize supply chain processes and meet the needs of the company and its customers.

  • Develop, maintain, and govern standardized inventory reporting, monitoring, and control procedures to ensure accuracy, visibility, and accountability across the organization.
  • Own the identification, analysis, and active reduction of aged and End-of-Life (EOL) inventory, including the development and execution of disposition and sell-through strategies.
  • Partner closely with Product Development and NPI to communicate inventory levels, component usage trends, and future demand implications; proactively flag risks tied to new launches and product changes.
  • Develop and recommend retail, liquidation, return-to-vendor, or alternative utilization strategies for slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
  • Lead supplier and vendor communication related to inventory levels, material flow, and usage trends; coordinate with Buyers to enforce First-In, First-Out (FIFO) and prevent excess or obsolete inventory accumulation.
  • Maintain and oversee cycle count programs, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely reconciliation; prepare clear management-level summaries and variance analysis.
  • Audit inventory movement processes end-to-end to identify breakdowns impacting accuracy, traceability, or valuation; recommend and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify root causes of inventory discrepancies and drive data-backed corrective and preventive actions, escalating systemic issues to senior leadership as required.
  • Analyze inventory requirements, historical trends, and forecast inputs to support optimal inventory levels while balancing service, cost, and operational efficiency.
  • Review, manage, and approve inventory adjustment requests in accordance with established controls and governance standards.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and establish new or updated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to sustain inventory accuracy and lifecycle discipline.
  • Perform periodic ABC classification analysis, ensuring materials are properly segmented and managed based on usage, value, and criticality.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the ERP system, including part number creation, assembly structures, inventory transactions, and data integrity standards.
  • Coordinate ERP part number, BOM, and assembly setup requests, ensuring alignment with engineering, NPI, and supply chain requirements.
  • Support NPI and Product Development by coordinating component trials, validation feedback, and supplier follow-up during development and launch phases.
