Title: Inventory / Materials HandlerLocation: Redmond, WA (Onsite)Duration: 6 month contract with reoccurring/long-term extensions (conversion to FTE possible)Compensation: $25.00/hr - $30.00/hrWork Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.Skillset / Experience: Inventory Materials HandlerSUMMARY We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory / Materials Handler to support receiving, inventory management, data entry, labeling, and physical movement of materials. This role will work closely with the Materials Manager to establish and maintain accurate inventory records and ensure materials are properly received, tracked, and stored. Hours will be Monday – Friday, day shift.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive incoming packages and materials, verify contents, and enter data into the inventory system.
- Assist the Materials Manager in populating and maintaining the in-house inventory system, including parts, components, and existing inventory.
- Create, apply, and maintain barcodes and material identification labels.
- Physically move, organize, and store materials throughout the facility.
- Add and remove materials from inventory as items are received, issued, transferred, or consumed.
- Maintain accurate physical and electronic inventory records.
- Assist with inventory counts, audits, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
- Support general warehouse and materials management activities as needed.
- 2-3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, materials management, inventory control, or a similar environment.
- Experience as an inventory specialist or materials/warehouse handler preferred.
- Comfortable with data entry and inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while supporting the Materials Manager and broader team.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform tasks requiring bending, grasping, climbing, pulling, and stretching.
- Experience helping launch or organize a new warehouse, lab, or facility is a plus.
- Aerospace materials management or inventory control is a plus.
