Job Description
SURESTAFF is immediately hiring an Inventory Clerk for a large, well-known client in Bedford Park, IL. As an Inventory Clerk for SURESTAFF, you will work in a fast-paced distribution environment and be involved in all aspects of warehouse operations including:
- Shipping & Receiving
- Quality Assurance
- Inventory Control
- With Customer Service, help prepare routine inventory report for customers that include the two-week forward schedule, FG Inventory on hand, component and raw material on hand that is specific to the customer.
- Contact point for inventory and planning questions from Production and Planning.
- Process receivers and monitor inventory accuracy to enable regular operational/finance reviews by executives.
- Review inventory reconciliations related to all inventory, including raw material, WIP, and finished goods.
- Determine root cause for discrepancies and track corrective actions.
- Provide monthly/quarterly reports from cycle counts and recommend physical inventory count adjustments along with investigating root cause.
- Partner with planning and supply chain to monitor inventory balances and receipts to support inventory accuracy, including bulk and FG Inventory on hand.
- Collaborate cross functionally, to answer questrions related to inventory from all departments.
- Support the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure accurate tracking of inventory and appropriate inventory levels.
- Knowledge of supply chain, receiving, inventory flow, operations process, and manufacturing principles.
- Ability to multi-task and drive actions to completion under strict deadlines.
- Demonstrate good communication skills, problem-solving skills, and sound judgement.
- Prior experience with warehouse equipment such a RF Scanners and Forklifts a plus.
- Strong self-starter and leader who can analyze and can take corrective actions based on findings.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs as needed.
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Internet Software.
- Minimum 5+ years experience in Inventory Control, with relevant experience of inventory transactions. Finance experience a plus.
