Inventory Control / Warehouse - Rocky Hill, CT

Job Summary: As an Inventory Control Specialist in the warehouse, you will be responsible for accurately maintaining, tracking, and reporting physical inventory. Acting as a liaison between internal and external customers, you will ensure the accuracy of physical inventory and fiscal accounting.

Pay: $21.50/hourResponsibilities:- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) data to ensure efficient and proper inventory control.- Identify and address quality control issues to maintain regulatory compliance.- Identify opportunities for improvement in all inventory functions and programs.- Check and exchange pallets as needed, reporting any damage or discrepancies promptly.- Maintain cleanliness and repair of the dock and facility areas.- Wrap and stack pallets for safe storage and transport.- Safely operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) after training.- Ensure compliance with food safety, housekeeping, and other relevant standards.- Perform other duties as assigned to maintain inventory accuracy and efficiency.Qualifications:- Prior experience in a warehouse setting preferred.- Familiarity with operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) is advantageous.- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems is a plus.- Ability to operate and learn to operate various technology including computers and tablets.- High school diploma or GED required; additional education or relevant experience is preferred.- Basic math skills necessary for proper counting and verification of pallet ID numbers.- Attention to detail and accuracy in all inventory-related tasks.- Flexibility to work variable schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.Environmental Job Conditions:- Ability to independently lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally.- Regularly engage in sitting, standing, walking, bending, and squatting in a refrigerated warehouse setting.- Perform tasks such as grasping, reaching, pushing, or pulling on a frequent basis.- Endurance for continuous and fast-paced work activities.- Adherence to necessary safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toed footwear, gloves, safety glasses, etc. Please Note: This description provides a general overview of the role and responsibilities; additional specific duties may be assigned based on business needs.
