Requirements

Purpose of the Position

This position will contribute to the receiving and managing of inventory to meet demand forecasts. This responsibility requires a basic understanding of how to read production orders, attention to detail, organizational skills and collaboration across multiple departments. Works under general supervision. The location of the position is in Jessup, MD.

Essential Job Functions include the following, but are not limited to:

• Perform inventory movements within TQE’s manufacturing areas and finished goods warehouse, including physical transfers and ERP system data entry.
• Conduct cycle counts in all TQE’s warehouses according to the cycle counting plan.
• Replenishes consumable parts for all manufacturing areas following the consumable Kanban system.
• Assists in the shipping and receiving responsibilities as needed.
• Collaborate closely with purchasing, planning and production team to maintain inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Monitor office supplies and kitchen supplies, and other consumables inventory in both buildings weekly and replenishes and restock as required.
• Be adaptable to additional duties as assigned by management.

In addition to the essential functions and duties listed above, all positions are also responsible for:

• Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
• Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.

Physical Activities:

Work may be active, could stand or sit for long durations and/or perform repetitious work at times. The employee may lift or move objects up to 20 pounds. Employees must grasp, manipulate, or assemble parts and components that are often very small. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, may be noisy at times. Must be able to wear appropriate clothing and personal protective equipment such as but not limited to masks, glasses, gloves, and specialty garments. The required PPE and training allow for the safe handling and processing of chemicals like adhesives, lubricants and solvents, and safe operation of job-related equipment and tools.

Qualifications

Experience:

• 1-2 years of experience in inventory management or Inventory control.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent or equivalent work experience

• Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
• Familiarity with ERP system and RFSmart system.
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong multitasking capabilities.
• Ability to read and understand written work instructions.
• Basic mathematical and analytical skills.

The hourly rate for this position is $20.44 - $25.55 per hour D.O.E.
