We are searching for a dynamic and experienced Inventory Control Coordinator to join our team. This role is integral to maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our company's inventory. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing all aspects of our inventory system to ensure accuracy and timeliness. This includes monitoring and coordinating the physical cycle counts, reconciling inventory discrepancies, and enhancing the inventory control procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations, a keen eye for detail, and a problem-solving mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage inventory control systems and procedures to maintain accuracy; identify and recommend process improvements that increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct daily analysis to predict potential inventory problems and provide solutions to mitigate risks.
- Coordinate and execute physical inventory cycle counts and audits in a timely and accurate manner.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies, including lost stock, damaged items, and discrepancies between the stock record and physical count.
- Collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure that the right goods are in stock to meet customer needs.
- Develop and prepare inventory reports for management review; present findings and recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinate with the finance department to review and update inventory costs, including raw materials, supplies, and labor.
- Implement and enforce safety and housekeeping standards in all inventory areas to comply with regulatory requirements.
- Train and mentor warehouse staff on proper inventory procedures and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or relevant field.
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or related field.
- Proven experience in managing and improving inventory control procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data and provide insightful solutions.
- Proficient in inventory management software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and warehouse best practices.
- Certification in supply chain management or related field will be a plus.
