Sandvik has an opportunity for an Inventory Control Coordinator position in Alachua, Florida USA (greater Gainesville, FL area).

The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting warehouse operations by investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, receiving issues, quality-related inventory concerns, and system transaction errors. This position works closely with Warehouse, Quality, & Procurement teams to ensure accurate inventory records and efficient material flow within the warehouse and ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Accuracy & Discrepancy Resolution

  • Investigate inventory discrepancies identified through cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Review transaction histories, inventory records, and alternate storage locations to determine root causes of inventory variances.
  • Perform inventory adjustments in LEAN/MRP System and QuickBase following established procedures and submit adjustments for management approval.
  • Support ongoing inventory accuracy initiatives and corrective actions.

Inventory & Warehouse Management

  • Manage warehouse locations and coordinate inventory consolidation activities to improve storage utilization, picking efficiency, and inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records within LEAN and related systems.
  • Support inventory audits and cycle counting activities.

Quality & Material Control

  • Investigate and resolve logistics-related quality issues involving inventory.
  • Process inventory status changes within LEAN, including moving materials between Good Stock, Hold, and Rejected inventory locations as required.
  • Work closely with Quality personnel to ensure proper inventory disposition and material traceability.

Receiving Issue Resolution

  • Investigate and resolve receiving discrepancies including:

  • Purchase order mismatches

  • Incorrect quantities received

  • Incorrect materials received

  • Shipment and documentation issues

  • Coordinate with Procurement and Buyers to resolve receiving-related concerns.

System & Process Support

  • Ensure accurate and timely inventory transactions within LEAN and QuickBase.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements that enhance inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
  • Maintain compliance with company inventory control procedures and standards.

Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
  • Ability to investigate and resolve inventory issues independently.
  • Effective communication skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations, receiving, material movements, and inventory control best practices.

Education & Work Authorization Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on an indefinite basis without sponsorship
