We are seeking candidates for an Inventory Control Specialist role. Compensation for this position is $30.00 per hour. Interested? Read below for more information!If you enjoy a hands-on, fast-paced environment and want reliable hours with weekly pay, this job could be a great fit.What You'll Do:• Review unused and underutilized lab spaces to identify parts, materials, tools, and equipment• Evaluate inventory and determine whether items should be kept or discarded based on condition and relevance• Reduce clutter and reclaim lab space through removal, consolidation, or disposal of unnecessary materials• Organize retained inventory in a clear, accessible manner to support lab operations• Document inventory decisions and findings using spreadsheets, lists, and photos• Coordinate with engineering teams, lab owners, and EHS to ensure proper handling and disposal compliance• Perform work in an active lab environment while minimizing disruption to ongoing operationsWhat You Need to Bring:• Hands-on experience in a technical lab, manufacturing, or engineering environment (technician background preferred)• Strong familiarity with lab parts, materials, and equipment to make informed inventory decisions• Ability to independently organize, assess, and clean physical workspaces• Comfort with physically active work, including standing, walking, bending, and light-to-moderate lifting• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail• Ability to accurately document work using basic digital tools (Microsoft Office)• Good judgment, dependability, and ability to work with minimal supervision• Experience in hard disk drive or semiconductor manufacturing is a plus• Post-secondary education preferred #metrocareersWhy You'll Like Working with Doherty Staffing SolutionsEnjoy weekly pay, access to health coverage options through Benefits in a Card (including preventative and minimum value plans), and temp-to-hire opportunities for long-term stability where applicable.
