Job Description

Role Overview

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for executing various tasks related to inventory control, managing the flow of products, and ensuring accurate tracking within our warehouse. Your duties will include issuing and shipping call tags, coordinating product returns to vendors, conducting inventory counts, loading and unloading delivery trucks, and utilizing the Sedona system for data tracking and updates. Along with the key responsibilities listed below.     

Key Responsibilities

  •    Pick warehouse items according to order instructions, process shipments through FedEx, and record/apply parts and notes
  •    Ensure that all internal preparations and outgoing shipments are properly labeled and that correlating documents are available with each shipment
  •    Inspect returned items for quality and completeness before processing returns.
  •    Manage the return process, maintaining accurate records and ensuring seamless communication with vendors.
    • Bring Complete and unused parts back into Sedona using the most appropriately discerned method, determining likely places of origin as necessary.
    • Research returned NVR units, filling out an MSTR sheet and placing units on hold.
    • Communicate with Customer Care, Service and Install for corresponding equipment removals to determine what materials should be held and whatever materials are ok to salvage/scrap.
    • Consider eligible returned materials for RMA, as applicable.
  •    Organize received goods within the warehouse, ensuring efficient use of space.
  •    Use Sedona for inventory tracking, updating quantities, and managing inventory transfers.
  •    Arrange for a carrier vehicle or pick-up where necessary.
  •    Assist in loading and unloading deliveries and determine safe ways of stacking items in warehouse for storage and retrieval
  •    Record damaged or defective items and replace them according to company policies.
  •    Responsible for maintaining FIFO inventory rotation.
  •    Conduct inventory counts.
  •    Assist in maintaining organization and aesthetics of the warehouse.
  •    Send out warranty units (OpenEye/Revona) for repair and document information on RMA shared sheet.
  •    All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  •   High school diploma
  •   Proven experience in inventory control, preferably within a warehouse setting
  •   Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory counts and data entry
  •   Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  •   Physical capability to perform loading, unloading, and other warehouse-related tasks
  •   Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
  •   Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

Work Requirements:

  •  The position requires extensive use of a PC for brief and extended periods of time, depending upon the project.
  •  Can lift weight up to 50 pounds; obtain assistance for anything heavier.
