We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Supervisor to join our team. This role will be onsite in Blacksburg, Virginia report to Materials Excellence Manager.

To be considered for Inventory Control Supervisor, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline.

  • 5 years in Materials Management or Supply Chain or Operations.

  • 2 years of leadership or supervision experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience using Excel formulas (math, filtering data, charts).

  • Willing to travel internationally to offshore vendors

As an Inventory Control Supervisor, you will:

In this role, you will distribute cycle counts, reconcile inventory discrepancies both in-house and offshore, analyze cycle count statistics, and ensure accurate record keeping.

  • Lead and develop a team of Inventory Control Specialists and Material Analysts, ensuring cross‑training, process understanding, and high performance.

  • Manage end‑to‑end cycle counting processes for in‑house and Offshore Vendor locations, including item selection, scheduling, spreadsheet preparation, and LN transactions.

  • Travel domestically and internationally to offshore vendors to perform inventory audits, support process reviews, and strengthen supplier inventory accuracy.

  • Perform reconciliations, investigate variances, submit/approve adjustments, and ensure all inventory adjustments are fully processed in LN.

  • Run and analyze cycle count reports (ABC Codes, Descending Dollars, SQL) to monitor accuracy and identify required follow‑up actions.

  • Review and approve Offshore Vendors and in‑house scrap reports, validate LN scrap transactions, and maintain complete audit documentation.

  • Support external and internal audits by providing required documents, system screenshots, inventory samples, and cycle count evidence.

  • Resolve inventory discrepancies, stalled transactions, Commercial Invoice Offshore mismatches, and potential BOM errors; coordinate corrective actions with Production Control, Stockroom, and Offshore Vendors.

  • Oversee WIP audit processing, E&O disposals, and monthly Offshore Vendor system‑quantity comparisons; maintain accurate records for Accounting.

  • Maintain and update Inventory Control procedures and provide training and guidance across the Inventory Control team and Offshore Vendors partners.

Salary Range Transparency:

Blacksburg, VA $70,000.00–$100,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
