Job Description:
The Inventory Controller applies the knowledge of systems, techniques and underlying fundamentals of inventory management for determining, regulating, or controlling the level and flow of supplies and equipment materials from acquisition to storage, issue and utilization.
- Daily maintenance of inventory par levels, assists with computer entry of the inventory data, and assists with the ordering of supplies, equipment and instrumentation.
- Coordinates equipment maintenance and repairs in conjunction with Materials or Biomedical Engineering as needed.
- Controls vendor access and compliance with the hospitals vendor policies.
- Assists with product recalls.
- Supports the facilities Value Analysis and cost containment initiatives as needed.
- Provides assistance with reports, records maintenance, and associated data entry.
- Coordinates with schedulers regarding the need for vendors for scheduled procedures.
- Assists with billing associated activities.
