This position is based at our corporate office in Phoenix, AZ, and follows a hybrid work schedule. Remote work is not available for this role. Candidates must reside within commuting distance, as relocation assistance is not provided. Additionally, applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored visa support.

Job Overview:

The Inventory Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient inventory flow by partnering closely with vendors, Category Buyers, Distribution Centers, and internal teams. This position is responsible for maintaining purchase orders, resolving discrepancies, managing past-due orders, and supporting customer and commercial order needs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Purchase Order Management
  • Maintain and update purchase orders to ensure accuracy and alignment with vendor information
  • Review and update POs based on EDI acknowledgements
  • Monitor and manage past-due orders by following up with vendors and taking corrective action
  • Execute PO updates as directed by Category Buyers
  • Create PO splits, replacement POs, and new purchase orders as needed
  • PO Follow-On & Inventory Support
  • Resolve discrepancy reports from Distribution Centers
  • Process RTVs (Return to Vendor)
  • Support supply chain accuracy and issue resolution
  • Customer & Commercial Orders
  • Create and track purchase orders for commercial customers, including items outside standard assortment
  • Manage eCommerce backorders not stocked in Distribution Centers
  • Support special customer requests, including warranty and exception orders
  • Ensure timely follow-up and responsiveness to customer needs

Required

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; frequent interaction with vendors, Distribution Centers, and Accounts Payable
  • High level of accuracy required to maintain purchase orders and customer orders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access); experience with JDA AS400 and related inventory systems preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to learn new systems, apply feedback, and continuously improve processes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field or minimum of 2 years of experience in wholesale, retail, or supply chain environments
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent customer service orientation with the ability to navigate challenges
  • Proven ability to multitask and perform effectively under tight timelines
