Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Inventory Lead to oversee inventory operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, monitoring product quality and rotation, and leading a small team to ensure efficient and organized storage of perishable goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory counts for all produce items.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Ensure proper rotation of perishable goods using FIFO (First In, First Out) method.
- Lead and train inventory staff in proper handling, labeling, and storage procedures.
- Coordinate with receiving, shipping, and production teams to track product movement.
- Generate inventory reports and assist in audits as needed.
- Identify and report quality issues or shrink concerns promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of inventory areas.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in inventory control, preferably in a refrigerated or produce environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory systems and basic data entry.
- Ability to lead and motivate a small team.
- Familiarity with food safety guidelines and handling of perishable goods.
- Comfortable working in cold storage conditions (34–50°F).
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Forklift experience
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Schedule:Full-time; Overnight Shift; Monday – Saturday: 9:30pm - Finish
Pay Rate: $20 - $22/hr based on experience
