Position Overview

DataOne is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our team in Vineland, NJ. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the inventory stockroom, ensuring the availability of critical spare parts, consumables, and equipment that support our Electrical, HVAC, and IT teams.

The ideal candidate has experience in inventory or warehouse management, enjoys working in a structured environment, and is committed to maintaining accurate inventory records while supporting operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including receipts, issues, transfers, and stock adjustments using inventory management software (GLPI preferred).
  • Perform routine cycle counts and annual physical inventories.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate reorder points and safety stock.
  • Maintain accurate item information, including part numbers, storage locations, quantities, and classifications.

Receiving & Warehouse Operations

  • Receive, inspect, and verify inbound shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Organize and maintain the stockroom according to safety and storage standards.
  • Prepare and issue materials for preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
  • Process vendor returns and manage RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) activities.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with vendors and carriers.

Asset & Equipment Management

  • Track technical and IT equipment using the asset management system.
  • Maintain complete traceability of equipment entering and leaving secure areas.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technicians regarding parts availability.
  • Assist with inventory reporting, stock valuation, inventory turnover, and usage analysis.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all data center security procedures and access control requirements.
  • Comply with OSHA regulations and safe material handling practices.
  • Ensure proper disposal and recycling of electronic waste and decommissioned equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

Requirements

Required

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or stockroom management.
  • Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, maintenance, energy, pharmaceutical, or mission-critical environments.
  • Experience using inventory management systems, ERP, CMMS, or asset management software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to work 100% on-site at our Vineland, NJ data center in a secure, access-controlled environment.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working in designated technical areas.
  • Flexibility to work occasional overtime or after-hours when needed to support emergency operational requirements.

Preferred

  • Associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience with GLPI inventory management software.
  • Forklift certification.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
