Job Summary:
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels within a food production facility. This role ensures raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods are properly tracked, stored, and recorded while maintaining food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records of raw materials, packaging, and finished products
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies and investigate variances
- Coordinate with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure material availability
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality
- Assist in tracking lot numbers and expiration dates
- Generate inventory reports for management review
