Job Description
Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for an inventory specialist position at a company in New Milford CT. This is a temp-to-hire position.
The inventory specialist receives, stores and issues materials, and is also responsible for maintaining inventory records and compilation of stock reports.
The hours are 8:15 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $18 an hour.
Job Responsibilities:
- Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigates discrepancies or adjust errors
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms or other areas
- Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools or other labeling equipment
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Determine proper storage methods, identification and stock locations based on turnover, environmental factors and physical capabilities of facilities
- Keeps record on the use and/or damage of stock or stock-handling equipment
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects reporting any damage to supervisors
- Follow clean room policy if necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Inventory and/or warehouse experience
- Computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Hazardous materials knowledge preferred
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) knowledge preferred
- Food Safety and Defense/HAACP knowledge preferred
- Knowledge and ability to work with bar code scanner preferred
- Organization and time management skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to pass pre-employment screenings
