Position Summary:

detail-oriented and highly organized Inventory Specialist to support our field operations in Williamsburg, MI. This role is critical in overseeing inventory processes and procedures on a contractor job site, not in a traditional warehouse setting. The Inventory Specialist will track and manage materials used for WIFI cable installation and fiber burial projects, ensuring accuracy and proper placement of all parts and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Track and manage contractor inventory used in fiber installation (e.g., splitters, vaults, markers, construction materials).
Label and organize inventory at the contractor's site (small warehouses with dock doors or outdoor storage).
Verify stock information and unit identification numbers.
Conduct inventory counts and audits in accordance with company policies.
Unpackage, sort, and stage units for production or use.
Maintain detailed and accurate inventory records.
Analyze data and extract key insights to improve inventory processes.
Work with minimal supervision while maintaining a high standard of organization.
Communicate effectively with internal teams and site supervisors.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

Experience working with high-volume, small-part inventories.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
Comfortable standing, walking, and working outdoors for long periods.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Flexibility in schedule when required.
Proficiency with computers; Excel knowledge is a plus.
A continuous improvement mindset is essential.
