Job Description

The Investigator plays an important part at the Board. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting investigations of complaints and allegations submitted to the Board, including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, victims, and respondents.
  • Preparing investigative reports.
  • Maintaining files and records.
  • Conferring with legal personnel for assistance in documenting and preparing for cases for administrative hearing, other resolutions and/or filing of charges for referral to criminal prosecution.
  • Testifying if needed during case resolution.
  • Preparing and presenting investigative reports and evidence to Board members.
  • Attending board meetings to provide enforcement information to Board members.
  • Handling telephone inquiries regarding practice questions and laws and rules governing the practice of occupational therapy, physical therapy, athletic training, orthotics, prosthetics and pedorthics.

30 months training OR 30 months investigative experience with experience corresponding to type of complaints & alleged violations appearing in job posting/approved position description AND valid driver's license.

  • OR Completion of associate core program in law enforcement, criminal justice or in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file AND 12 months experience conducting investigations AND/OR inspections AND valid driver's license.
  • OR 30 months training OR 30 months experience as Investigator Assistant, 26210 with experience corresponding to type of complaints & alleged violations appearing in job posting/approved position description AND valid driver's license.
  • OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
