Investment Banking Business Services Associate / Vice President - New York

Our New York City office is looking for an Investment Banking Associate or Vice President to join the Industrial Services / Business Services Coverage team. This team advises a broad range of companies across key sub-sectors, including infrastructure services, commercial/facilities services, engineering and professional services, testing, inspection and certification (TIC), and environmental services. The team provides strategic and financial advisory services to corporate clients and private equity sponsors on mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, as well as debt and equity capital raising across both public and private markets.

Qualifications:

• 4-6+ years of experience within the investment banking industry, or 3-5+ years of post-MBA experience, with a proven track record working on executed deals across M&A and various industry sectors
• Experience in the industrials services or business services industry is strongly preferred, but not required
• Commercial instinct and ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines
• Comfortable reading and interpreting financial statements
• Extraordinarily high level of motivation and commitment to working hard
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA, CA and/or CFA designation would be an asset
• Series licensing or must obtain

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $225,000 per year for an Associate, and between $250,000 and $275,000 per year for a Vice President, at the commencement of employment.  However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
