Role Overview

Initio Sphere is seeking qualified finance professionals to join as Certified Investment Risk & Diligence Analysts.

This is not a traditional employment role. Analysts operate as independent contractors and are activated through our certification and verification process.

Once approved, Investment Risk & Diligence Analysts:

  • Are promoted within the Initio Sphere platform

  • Support investors, fund managers, and sponsors on pre-investment risk and diligence analysis

  • Identify financial, operational, and market risks prior to capital deployment

  • Stress-test assumptions, downside scenarios, and investment theses

  • Build a verified deal track record and Analyst Rating Score

Certification tiers:Senior Investment Risk & Diligence Analyst · Lead Investment Risk & Diligence Analyst · Analyst / Associate Analyst

Analyst Levels & Pay Ranges

Senior Investment Risk & Diligence Analyst

Rating Score: 90–100Pay: $150–200/hourTypical Background:Former private equity, credit, investment banking, transaction advisory, risk consulting, or senior strategy professionals with 5+ years of investment risk or diligence experience.

Lead Investment Risk & Diligence Analyst

Rating Score: 80–89Pay: $100–150/hourTypical Background:Finance professionals with 3–5 years of experience in investment analysis, diligence execution, or downside risk assessment.

Investment Risk & Diligence Analyst / Associate

Rating Score: 60–79Pay: $50–100/hourTypical Background:Entry to mid-level analysts with strong analytical skills and exposure to financial, commercial, or operational diligence.

What You’ll Do (Approval-Based)

Depending on certification approvals, Investment Risk & Diligence Analysts may be engaged for:

Investment Risk Analysis

  • Identification of key investment risks and downside exposures

  • Sensitivity, scenario, and stress testing

  • Assumption validation and downside case modeling

  • Risk matrices and mitigation framework development

Financial & Earnings Diligence

  • Quality of Earnings (QoE) analysis

  • Revenue durability and margin sustainability review

  • Cash flow and working capital risk assessment

  • Historical performance validation

Commercial & Operational Diligence

  • Market and competitive risk analysis

  • Customer, supplier, and concentration risk review

  • Operational scalability and execution risk assessment

  • KPI benchmarking and variance analysis

Investment Committee & Decision Support

  • Risk-focused diligence sections for investment memos

  • Red flag summaries and diligence findings reports

  • Support for IC presentations and decision materials

Analysts may only perform work in categories they are approved for. Approvals are earned through assessment performance and demonstrated analytical rigor—not tenure.

How Analysts Start Earning

  1. Complete the Analyst Certification Assessment or approved training

  2. Receive category-specific approvals (Risk Analysis, Due Diligence, Financial Review)

  3. Get verified on the platform

  4. Begin earning immediately through hourly projects and live deal engagements

No cold applying. No unpaid “experience.” Verified analysts are actively promoted to investors and deal sponsors.

Certification & Eligibility

To qualify, you must meet at least one of the following:

  • Score 70% in at least one category of the Analyst Certification Assessment

  • Complete Initio Sphere Financial or Risk & Diligence Training

  • Hold an active professional credential (CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent)

Analyst Rating Score

Each Investment Risk & Diligence Analyst receives a 0–100 Analyst Rating Score, which determines:

  • Visibility to investors and capital allocators

  • Approved risk and diligence work categories

  • Recommended hourly rates

  • Eligibility for higher-impact, higher-complexity transactions

Compensation & Deal Terms

  • Analysts are independent contractors, not employees

  • Hourly rates depend on Rating Score and approval level

  • Analysts may earn up to 10% of the first $100,000 in transaction fees

  • Maximum deal-based earning: $2,500 per transaction

  • Payments issued only after successful deal completion and fee collection

  • Initio Sphere reserves the right to revoke approvals for quality, rigor, or compliance issues

  • Represent Initio Sphere in a regulated capacity
