IR Neuro Radiology Technologist (Neuro IR Tech)Location: Rochester, New York (Onsite)Work Type: ContractPositions: 4Hours: 40 Hours per WeekShift Details• Shift: Day Shift• Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts• Weekend Requirement: Yes• Holiday Requirement: Yes• Call Requirement:• 1–2 weekdays per week• 1–2 weekends per month• Callback: As per unit needsThe IR Neuro Radiology Technologist is responsible for supporting neuro-interventional radiology procedures in a high-acuity hospital environment.This role involves assisting physicians during complex neuro procedures, operating advanced imaging equipment, and ensuring patient safety and high-quality diagnostic imaging.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Procedures• Assist in neuro interventional radiology procedures• Prepare and position patients for imaging and procedures• Support radiologists during fluoroscopic and IR proceduresEquipment & Imaging• Operate X-ray, CR, and DR imaging systems• Ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging• Troubleshoot and report equipment issuesPatient Care & Safety• Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures• Administer oral contrast as needed• Follow patient rights and safety protocolsTeam Collaboration• Work closely with radiologists, nurses, and IR team• Support department workflow and assist team members• Demonstrate professionalism and accountabilityDocumentation & Compliance• Maintain accurate procedure documentation• Follow hospital and regulatory standards• Ensure medication and equipment complianceMust-Have Qualifications• Minimum 2+ years of Radiology / IR experience• Neurosurgery / Neuroscience experience (Required)• Active New York State License (Required)• BLS Certification (AHA – Required)• Strong experience in imaging and radiologic proceduresPreferred Qualifications• Interventional Radiology experience (Preferred)• Experience in Neuro IR procedures• Experience in high-acuity hospital environmentsCore Competencies• Interventional radiology support• Neuro imaging expertise• Patient care and safety• Communication and teamwork• Technical proficiencyWork Environment• Neuro Interventional Radiology Unit• High-acuity hospital setting• Onsite role in Rochester, NYAdditional Requirements• Must be flexible with call and weekend coverage• Must be comfortable in fast-paced procedural environment• Must maintain all certifications and licensesRecruiter Submission Template –Full Name: Degree / Certification with Institution and Completion Year:Do you have 2+ years of Radiology / IR experience?
