Job Description

Thrive Education Partners is seeking an experienced ISEE test preparation tutor to provide individualized support to students preparing for the Independent School Entrance Examination.

The ideal candidate is a knowledgeable, engaging educator who can strengthen students’ verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, reading comprehension, mathematics achievement, and essay-writing skills. The tutor should be able to identify individual areas of need, teach effective test-taking strategies, and develop a structured preparation plan that builds both skill and confidence.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required; a degree in education, English, mathematics, or a related field is preferred

Previous teaching or tutoring experience

Direct experience preparing students for the ISEE or comparable standardized admissions assessments

Strong proficiency in both verbal and quantitative content

Knowledge of ISEE question formats, timing, scoring, and test-taking strategies

Ability to analyze practice-test results and individualize instruction

Strong communication, organization, and progress-monitoring skills

Dependable, collaborative, and professional
