Job Description
Portnoff Law Associates, Ltd. is seeking a proactive, service-oriented IT Administrator to help keep our technology secure, reliable, and running smoothly across the organization. Based in King of Prussia, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, supporting users, improving systems, and taking ownership of day-to-day IT operations in a collaborative professional environment. You will play an important role in maintaining infrastructure, supporting Microsoft 365 and end-user technology, strengthening security, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Own, manage, and continuously improve the IT helpdesk, support processes, service request workflows, knowledge base articles, and user support experience while maintaining accurate documentation and issue tracking.
- Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID (Azure AD), and related security and collaboration tools.
- Maintain and enhance cybersecurity controls including endpoint protection, vulnerability management, patching, multi-factor authentication, backup verification, and incident response procedures.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, automation, and proactive maintenance processes to improve system reliability, operational efficiency, and end-user experience.
- Serve as a key point of contact for IT support, delivering responsive helpdesk support and a positive user experience.
- Maintain core IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, endpoints, phones, printers, and related equipment to ensure dependable performance.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, email, and security issues, and coordinate with vendors or service partners when needed.
- Assist with cloud and hybrid environments, including provisioning resources, resolving connectivity issues, and helping maintain secure, stable operations.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, monitoring, asset management, and process improvements.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding, maintain accurate asset and license records, and help strengthen overall IT operations.
- Manage priorities effectively, communicate clearly with employees, leadership, and vendors, and contribute to special projects as needed.
- Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of enterprise networking, operating systems and Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID (Azure AD), endpoint management, identity management, modern cloud-based productivity & security solutions and related procedures, troubleshooting procedures, networking devices, printers, faxes and other network peripherals, back-up system and recovery procedures, and telephone systems, and related equipment.
- Knowledge of secure IT operations, data privacy, password management, governance practices, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
- Experience with scripting or automation tools such as batch files, shell scripts, Python, or similar technologies.
- Experience supporting cloud infrastructure, networking, and security in environments such as Azure and AWS.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, domain services, IP configuration, VLANs, subnets, and access controls.
- Experience with endpoint management, licensing, backup and retention practices, and device deployment or automation.
- Strong project coordination, issue tracking, reporting, and documentation skills, ideally using tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
- Strong communication, organization, follow-up, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to support occasional after-hours maintenance or urgent issues when needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field, with five (5) to eight (8) years of relevant experience preferred.
- Relevant technical certifications are a plus (for example, Microsoft, Cisco, or Linux certifications).
