The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) is seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Healthcare Consultant- Business Analyst to join our team in Columbia, SC. As an IT Healthcare Consultant- Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in evaluating agency needs and providing strategic advice on information technology and non-technical solutions. You'll work closely with business programs and IT organizations to deliver technical solutions that meet user needs, enhance business processes, and improve operational efficiency.

Serve as a liaison between business programs and IT to provide technical solutions.
Analyze operations to identify opportunities for process automation.
Conduct requirement gathering sessions and translate business requirements into functional specifications.
Document and analyze business processes, data requirements, and recommend improvements.
Participate in requirements management processes, including change control and status reporting.
Interact with various stakeholders, including vendors and government agencies.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or healthcare field.
1 year of business analysis experience with IBM Cúram software.
1 year of experience in government IT projects as a business analyst or related duties.
1 year of experience eliciting, mining, and documenting business rules and processes.
2 years of experience with Medicaid Eligibility or other healthcare insurance.

Preferences

General subject matter expertise in Medicaid or other healthcare insurance.
Experience with MMS (project or operations).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Project/Project Server.
