Join Mizuho as an IT Business Manager!

As an IT Business Manager, you will serve as a trusted partner to Technology leadership, supporting financial planning, workforce management, reporting, and governance across the Technology organization. You will provide the structure, data integrity, and operational discipline required to support effective oversight, prioritization, and execution across a complex technology portfolio.

This role is critical to enabling leadership effectiveness by ensuring financial and workforce information is accurate, timely, and decision‑ready, and by supporting disciplined operating rhythms, clear reporting, and proactive identification of risks, dependencies, and trade‑offs.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Own the maintenance of rolling forecast models by integrating workforce changes, project timelines, vendor activity, and contract milestones into a single financial view.
  • Analyze financial performance and variances, identify key drivers and risks, and present decision‑ready insights and remediation options to Technology leadership.
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency of financial data, including budgets, cost centers, funding sources, and related metadata throughout the fiscal year.
  • Provide visibility into spend trends, run‑rate risks, and savings opportunities, ensuring approved actions are reflected in forecasts and plans.

Leadership Reporting & Governance

  • Own the synthesis, accuracy, and consistency of leadership reporting materials to support senior‑level decision‑making.
  • Support leadership operating rhythm by coordinating meeting agendas, materials, and preparation timelines.
  • Track actions, risks, and decisions arising from leadership meetings, planning cycles, and governance forums, and escalate issues requiring leadership attention.

Workforce & Organizational Management

  • Maintain leadership‑ready workforce views, including headcount, roles, reporting lines, start and end dates, and funding alignment.
  • Track joiner, mover, and leaver activity and coordinate with functional partners to support timely onboarding, transitions, and offboarding.
  • Support core talent processes with HR by coordinating inputs, timelines, and governance.
  • Surface workforce‑related operational risks and constraints, including seating and workplace needs for new hires.

Vendor & Contract Visibility

  • Maintain visibility into vendor, contract, and contractor data accuracy, including start and end dates, renewals, and funding impacts.
  • Monitor timing and financial impacts related to onboarding, contract changes, or seasonal workforce adjustments and reflect these in forecasts and reporting.
  • Surface vendor‑related dependencies or risks that may affect cost, timing, or planning assumptions.

Portfolio & Planning Support

  • Support updates to technology roadmaps by identifying timing changes, dependencies, and impacts to financial or workforce plans.
  • Validate that new initiatives align to approved budgets and plans and that required data is complete prior to leadership review.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of experience in technology business management, finance, or operational roles
  • Experience supporting senior Technology leaders in large, matrixed organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently across a broad, complex scope

Skills

  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights
  • Executive‑level communication and presentation skills
  • High attention to detail, data integrity, and follow‑through
  • Sound judgment and ability to manage competing priorities

The expected base salary ranges from $150k-$200k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
