Job Responsibilities
Join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in safeguarding our data assets. As a key player, you will:
- Establish and implement cutting-edge standards and criteria for data security requirements.
- Design, develop, deploy, and manage innovative enterprise data security solutions, including data loss prevention (DLP), data encryption, cloud data protection, and data security governance and compliance.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of DLP, Data Discovery, Classification, Encryption, Masking, Tagging, and Governance.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential data security threats, including third-party cyber risk assessment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy state-of-the-art data protection measures and best practices.
- Provide expert guidance on data privacy management and risk mitigation techniques.
- Ensure KPIs related to data security are accurately tracked and reported.
- Monitor and respond to data security incidents, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Regularly review data security policies and standards, providing input and recommendations to address enhancements and adapt to changing regulations and industry best practices.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with teams.
Minimum Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, information technology, computer information systems, MIS, or engineering is preferred. A combination of associate degree, military or professional cybersecurity experience, and cybersecurity certification (CISSP, GAIC, MCSE, CEH, GICSP, CSSA, CISM) will be considered.
- 2 years of experience in cybersecurity.
Preferred Qualifications

- 5 years of experience in data engineering or database designs/architectures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Cybersecurity certification (CISSP, CISM, OSCP, CCSP, GAIC, MCSE, GICSP, CSSA).
Desirable Skills

- Active Directory Design and Management.
- Experience with Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP.
- Scripting experience, including PowerShell or .NET (VB or C#).
- Security Operations Center (SOC) experience.
- Data security expertise.

Location: Milwaukee, WI or Chicago, IL - Both vibrant offices are located in the heart of the city, offering an exciting and engaging work environment.
Salary: 90-125k - Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
