IT Operations & Infrastructure

  • Oversee day-to-day IT operations across locations including networks, servers, cloud services, endpoints, telecom, collaboration tools, and plant/warehouse connectivity.
  • Ensure uptime and performance for multi-shift operations, leading incident response, root-cause analysis, and service improvements.

  • Own the cybersecurity program including identity management (MFA/SSO), endpoint protection, patching, vulnerability management, email security, and security awareness.
  • Maintain strong disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including backup strategy and periodic testing.
  • Ensure alignment with Marmon/Berkshire Hathaway technology and security expectations; support audits and required assessments.

Business Applications & Data Enablement

  • Provide oversight and partnership for ERP and key business applications (manufacturing/distribution systems, reporting/BI, integrations, and EDI where applicable).
  • Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, and HR to streamline workflows through automation and system optimization.
  • Promote strong data integrity, role-based access, and scalable reporting capabilities across the organization.

Project & Portfolio Management

  • Lead IT project planning and execution including scope, resourcing, vendor coordination, timelines, change management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Prioritize IT demand across the organization using transparent intake, triage, and governance to balance operational needs with strategic initiatives.
  • Develop business cases and ROI justifications for major initiatives; track and report progress and outcomes.

Vendor & Financial Management

  • Manage the IT budget forecasting, and cost controls, ensuring efficient and accountable spend.
  • Oversee vendor relationships including MSPs, cybersecurity partners, telecom providers, hardware/software suppliers, and implementation consultants.

  • Drive a culture of service excellence, accountability, documentation discipline, and continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, mentor, and retain IT talent to meet the needs of a growing and operationally complex organization.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary IT liaison to Marmon corporate resources and cross-functional leaders within MFC.
  • Communicate technology risks, priorities, and progress clearly to business leaders and plant/site leadership teams.
