We are seeking an IT Equipment & System Administration Specialist to support the 99th Civil Engineer Squadron (CES) is part of 99th Air Base Wing at Nellis Air Force Base (NAFB) in Las Vegas, NV.

So, what will the IT Equipment & System Administration Specialist at Terrestris do?
As the IT Equipment & System Administration you will perform functional system administrator duties to support and maintain NIPR/SIPR systems, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, tablets, handheld devices, and peripherals.
What does a typical day look like for the IT Equipment & System Administration Specialist?
You will:
- Establish and maintain user network connectivity (physical and wireless), including patch panel to network switch connections.
- Install security updates and ensure systems comply with applicable federal and local information assurance policies; serve as MICT assessor and support annual inspections.
- Establish, execute, track, and resolve help desk tickets; forward and monitor tickets through the Enterprise Service Desk using designated ticketing systems.
- Provide full lifecycle management of IT equipment as theInformation Technology Asset Manager (ITAM), including receipt, tracking, configuration, sustainment, and disposition.
- Label, inventory, track, and maintain 100% accountability of all accountable and pilferable IT assets; conduct annual and directed inventories and maintain required documentation.
- Decommission and process excess, obsolete, or non-serviceable equipment in accordance with federal standards, including proper data sanitization prior to disposal or transfer.
- Plan and advise leadership on IT equipment replacement, technology refresh requirements, and annual procurement needs for fiscal year budgeting.
- Create, manage, grant, deny, and remove user, group, email, and network accounts; manage permissions for network resources, security groups, distribution lists, and data structures.
- Install, maintain, and annually verify approved software on all IT assets to ensure compliance with federal requirements.
- Maintain TACLANE devices and CES-IT SIPR enclaves, including accountability, inventory, repairs, and coordination of required updates.
- Configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and inventory VTC/SVTC systems and administer the CES SharePoint site, including permissions management and technical support.
- Attend meetings requiring CES-IT presence, provide informational presentations, and serve as the unit administrator for communication-related work orders and service requests.
- Prepare and submit required deliverables, including monthly progress reports, weekly activity reports, inventories, account reviews, software license inventories, and IT technical refresh recommendations.
- Comply with all contract security, clearance, training, certification, OPSEC, FOIA, records management, Section 508, quality control, and performance standards requirements.
What qualifications do you look for?
You might be the professional we're looking for if you have:
- Authorization to work in the United States permanently without sponsorship.
- An active Secret clearance.
- IAT Level II certification.
- A minimum of three (3) years of practical experience inInformation Technology (IT) or a related field, demonstrating proficiency in core IT principles.
We are extra impressed by folks with:
- An Associate's degree in computer science.
- Demonstrated knowledge of United States Air Force (USAF) computer programs and policies.
