Who you are:At Nectar, we operate as a team-first environment, we are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled IT Manager to lead our technology operations and IT support teams. The individual should work well managing a team, strategically delegate tasks and projects, and be able to efficiently plan and execute with precision.
About the role:This role requires a strong, hands-on leader capable of managing infrastructure, user support, network systems, and Microsoft 365 administration. The ideal candidate thrives in a culture where we work until the job is completed, taking ownership of outcomes and always ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Reports to: Director of IT
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage local and remote technicians, helpdesk staff, and field service techs.
- Promote a culture of accountability, dedication, and follow-through — seeing tasks through to full completion.
- Oversee daily IT operations, ensuring timely ticket resolution, documentation, and high internal customer satisfaction.
- Set clear performance expectations, conduct evaluations, and encourage ongoing skill development.
Microsoft 365 & Cloud Administration:
- Administer and optimize the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Azure Active Directory, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Dynamics 365, and Exchange Online.
- Build workflow and process automations using Power Automate and Power Apps.
- Support end users across the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Helpdesk & Field Service Oversight.
- Manage helpdesk operations and ensure effective ticket assignment, escalation, and resolution.
- Oversee field service tickets, onsite issues, and system installations.
- Implement best practices for documentation and service consistency.
Network & Security Infrastructure:
- Configure, maintain, and monitor firewalls, manage switches, and wireless networks.
- Ensure uptime, network security, and adherence to best practices.
Surveillance & Alarm Systems:
- Manage configuration, maintenance, and access for surveillance camera systems.
- Administer alarm/security systems including sensors, logs, alerts, and integrations.
Systems & Hardware Management:
- Oversee deployment and lifecycle of laptops, desktops, servers, printers, and mobile devices.
- Support virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V or VMware.
- Perform backups, disaster recovery testing, and system audits.
- Manage employee onboarding/offboarding, accounts, and permissions.
Vendor, Procurement & Budgeting:
- Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Support budgeting for hardware, software, licensing, and replacement cycles.
- Evaluate and recommend new technology solutions.
Strategic & Operational Planning:
- Develop long-term IT strategies aligned with company goals.
- Recommend improvements to security, automation, systems, and workflows.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex technical challenges.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 5+ years in IT management or senior IT leadership.
- Strong leadership and dedication with a finish-the-job mindset.
- Deep experience with Microsoft 365 administration, Azure AD, and related platforms.
- Proven ability to manage helpdesk operations and field service workflows.
- Proficiency with firewalls, switches, VPNs, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience with surveillance and alarm system management.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, MS-102, AZ-104, or similar.
- Experience with Dynamics 365, Conditional Access, Group Policy, or cloud migrations.
- Strong documentation habits and familiarity with ITIL frameworks.
Soft Skills:
- Dedicated, reliable, and highly accountable.
- Strong communicator with the ability to lead diverse teams.
- Highly organized with strong follow-through.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with varying priorities.
Compensation: $100,000 - $140,000, Full-time, Salaried Position.
