Immediate need for a talented IT Project Governance Analyst (PMO / IT Finance / Risk & Compliance) .This is a 06+ Months Contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Harborside NJ (Onsite) .Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested. Key Responsibilities:
- Review and approve IT project funding requests and change controls
- Ensure compliance with enterprise PMO governance frameworks and lifecycle standards
- Act as a gatekeeper for project approvals and audit readiness
- Evaluate CapEx / OpEx budgets, forecasts, and funding justifications
- Validate EAC, BAC, variance, and financial accuracy
- Partner with PMO and Finance teams on portfolio-level reporting
- Assess project plans for risks, dependencies, and feasibility gaps
- Identify issues early and recommend mitigation strategies
- Challenge assumptions and ensure realistic execution planning
- Review project documentation for accuracy, completeness, and clarity
- Ensure governance standards are consistently applied
- Maintain strict attention to numbers, dates, and financial details
- Work cross-functionally with PMs, Finance, and senior leadership
- Coordinate with global teams (including Japan HQ) for approvals
- Provide guidance on governance in complex project scenarios
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- 7–10 years of overall experience
- 3–5+ years in:
- IT PMO / Project Governance / IT Project Controls
- Strong experience with:
- Governance frameworks & compliance
- Project financials (budgeting, forecasting, variance)
- Risk identification and mitigation
- Experience in large, matrixed organizations
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail (critical for this role)
- Experience in financial services / banking environment
- Exposure to PMO tools (Clarity, PPM Pro, etc.)
- Background in IT Controller / PMO Analyst / IT Finance roles
- Bilingual Japanese (Business Level) – BIG plus
