Job Description
Our client, a IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a IT Project Manager (Clinical Supply Chain) for their Foster City, CA/Hybrid location.Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Initiation: Define project objectives, scope, success criteria, milestones, deliverables, assumptions, dependencies, and governance structure for each phase of the Clinical Demand & Operational Planning implementation.
- Milestone and Success Criteria Management: Establish measurable success criteria for key milestones such as discovery, design, build, testing, data migration, user acceptance testing, training, go-live, and hypercare.
- Scope Management: Manage the approved project scope, validate business and technical requirements, monitor scope changes, assess impacts, and ensure changes are reviewed and approved through the defined governance process.
- Schedule Management: Develop, maintain, and track an integrated project plan covering timelines, dependencies, critical path, deliverables, resources, and milestone completion.
- Solution Design Oversight: Coordinate with business stakeholders, solution architects, functional consultants, technical teams, and vendors to ensure the solution design aligns with clinical supply chain planning processes, compliance expectations, and operational needs.
- Data Migration Oversight: Support planning and tracking of data migration activities, including data readiness, cleansing, mapping, validation, reconciliation, and cutover preparation.
- Project Documentation: Maintain project documentation in alignment with the Unity process and organizational standards, including project plans, status reports, decision logs, design approvals, requirement traceability, meeting notes, and sign-off records.
- Requirement and Issue Tracking: Track business requirements, functional gaps, configuration decisions, defects, issues, and action items to closure using approved project management and delivery tools.
- RAID Log Management: Own and maintain the Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies log; drive timely escalation, mitigation planning, ownership assignment, and resolution tracking.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate activities across business, IT, clinical operations, supply planning, quality, regulatory, data, integration, validation, testing, training, and change management teams.
- Resource Coordination: Track resource requirements, availability, allocations, dependencies, and constraints; work with leadership to address resource gaps and delivery risks.
- Meeting Facilitation: Plan, facilitate, and document project meetings, including workstream meetings, design workshops, status reviews, RAID reviews, steering committee updates, and stakeholder alignment sessions.
- Status Reporting and Governance: Prepare clear and concise project status reports covering progress, milestones, risks, issues, decisions, dependencies, budget/resource concerns, and upcoming priorities.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a central coordination point between business users, IT teams, implementation partners, vendors, and leadership to ensure alignment, transparency, and timely decision-making.
- Testing and Go-Live Support: Coordinate system integration testing, user acceptance testing, defect triage, business readiness, cutover planning, go-live execution, and hypercare support activities.
- Strong experience managing IT implementation projects in life sciences, pharmaceutical, clinical operations, supply chain, or regulated environments.
- Experience with demand planning, operational planning, clinical supply planning, inventory planning, S&OP, supply chain control tower, or enterprise planning platforms.
- Proven ability to manage project scope, schedule, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
- Working knowledge of clinical supply chain processes, including study demand forecasting, supply planning, packaging, labeling, distribution, inventory visibility, and site/depot supply coordination.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams across business, IT, data, integrations, validation, quality, regulatory, vendors, and implementation partners.
- Ability to translate business needs into structured project plans, requirement trackers, action logs, RAID logs, and executive-ready status updates.
- Strong documentation discipline and familiarity with structured delivery methodologies, governance processes, and project lifecycle controls.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and escalation management skills.
- Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Jira, Smartsheet, Planview, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and drive delivery outcomes with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree or Higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, Agile, or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience implementing planning platforms or supply chain solutions such as o9, Kinaxis, SAP IBP, Oracle, Blue Yonder, Anaplan, or similar tools is an advantage.
- Prior experience supporting global clinical supply chain, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or clinical trial technology programs is highly desirable.
