Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Server Administrator to manage and maintain our server infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role requires hands-on experience with Windows Server environments, virtualization technologies, and enterprise backup platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting Active Directory, Group Policies, and virtualized systems across Hyper-V and VMware platforms.

️ Key Responsibilities

  • Server Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments, including domain controllers, file servers, and application servers.
  • Active Directory & Group Policies: Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies through Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
  • ️ Virtualization Management: Administer and optimize virtual environments using Hyper-V and VMware technologies.
  • Backup & Recovery: Implement and manage enterprise backup solutions, ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Monitoring & Performance: Monitor server performance, availability, and capacity; fix and resolve system issues proactively .
  • Patch Management: Apply system updates, patches, and service packs in accordance with security and compliance standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of server configurations, procedures, and infrastructure changes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with network, security, and application teams to support integrated IT operations and projects.
  • Participation in an after-hours on-call rotation

Qualifications

  • 5 - 10 years of experience in server administration within a mid-to-large scale environment.

  • Strong expertise in:

  • Windows Server (2016/2019/2022/2025)

  • Active Directory and Group Policy Management

  • Hyper-V and VMware vSphere/ESXi

  • Backup platforms (Commvault preferred)

  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and automation tools.

  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds) is a plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

  • Relevant certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, VMware VCP, or equivalent are preferred.

  • Experience working in a large global enterprise a plus
