Job Description

This is an onsite/hybrid role with the expectation of at least 1-2 days onsite.

Candidates need to be local or able to relocate to Concord, NH.

Summary

The Project Manager provides enterprise-level leadership for complex, high-impact ITS initiatives that span clinical, operational, and technical domains. The role is accountable for delivering outcomes that directly support patient safety, care delivery, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and system reliability.

Operating beyond mid-level project coordination, the Project Manager represents a professional contributor with enterprise influence, cross-functional authority, financial accountability, governance leadership, and executive-level communication, ensuring technology investments align with organizational strategy and Concord Hospital's mission of quality, accountability, and sustainable operations.

Education

Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in Information Technology, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required

MBA or equivalent graduate degree preferred

Certification, Registration & Licensure

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required

Additional certifications (e.g., Agile, Lean, ITIL) considered an asset.

Experience

Ten (10) or more years of progressive project management experience, preferably within healthcare, ITS, or other highly regulated environments

Demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale, cross-functional initiatives with significant financial, operational, and organizational impact

Proven experience engaging with executive and senior leadership

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the enterprise-level point of accountability for complex ITS initiatives, engaging executive, clinical, operational, technical, and vendor stakeholders to align priorities and organizational outcomes.

  • Operates as a strategic advisor to senior leadership by translating organizational strategy into executable programs and initiatives, providing decision support through analysis of risks, trade-offs, and impacts.

  • Exercises enterprise influence to lead cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams without direct line authority, coordinating resources across organizational and vendor boundaries.

  • Establishes and models senior-level leadership standards, professional accountability, and governance discipline expected within a regulated healthcare environment; mentors junior staff to strengthen PMO capability and maturity across the ITS department.

  • Determines and applies appropriate delivery methodologies (predictive, adaptive, or hybrid) based on clinical risk, regulatory obligations, system complexity, and organizational readiness.

  • Directs the development of integrated, enterprise-level plans encompassing scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, dependencies, and constraints, ensuring alignment with clinical workflows, operational readiness, and compliance requirements.

  • Holds end-to-end accountability for initiative execution from initiation through closure, ensuring conformance with governance frameworks, ITS standards, and strategic objectives.

  • Oversees coordinated execution across internal teams and external partners to achieve defined outcomes and deliver sustainable enterprise value.

  • Maintains full financial accountability, including budget ownership, forecasting, variance management, and corrective action; develops business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and ROI assessments to support investment decisions.

  • Produces and presents executive-level performance reporting and dashboards, leveraging financial and operational metrics to inform leadership decisions and benefits realization.

  • Anticipates and mitigates enterprise risk and uncertainty by governing scope, schedule, cost, and change control, exercising senior judgment to protect compliance, patient safety, and organizational objectives.

  • Participates in the Administrative on-call rotation as assigned.
