Job Description
Title: Product Acceptance Spec B Location: Hanahan, SC Duration: 12 MonthsPay Range: $30-$35/hr on W2
Position Responsibilities:Verifies routine product conformance to design requirements.Provides objective evidence of results. Performs auditing, surveillance and monitoring. Identifies and documents discrepancies.Segregates and controls non-conforming items.Conducts product review with customer during product or process verification. Identifies repetitive or significant non-conformances and initiates requests for corrective action.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):High School Diploma or GED is typically the minimum requirement.Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments: Calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, etc. Are routinely used to verify dimensions and tolerances.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering specifications: Essential for comparing received items against design requirements. Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook): Essential for documentation, report generation, and communication.Strong attention to detail: A critical requirement for meticulous examination of materials and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Relevant experience, 2-4 years, in quality inspection, especially in manufacturing or related environments like aerospace, is highly valued. Experience with First Article Inspections (FAI): Ensuring initial production runs meet specifications.Familiarity with quality standards and specifications: Understanding industry guidelines (like AS9100 in aerospace) and internal company standards. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles: Can be beneficial for process improvement.Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) (e.G., SAP, Oracle): Used for managing inventory, tracking orders, and documenting inspection results. Experience using quality management software (e.G., TIPQA): For managing inspection processes and documentation.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: To identify root causes of defects, analyze inspection data, and recommend corrective actions.
